The Voices of Resilience Project: Veterans (“the Project”) is an initiative of Irene Cares. The Project is a fiscally sponsored project of Fiscal Sponsorship Allies (EIN: 85-0839183), which allows donations to the Project to be made through a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable structure. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit this website, make a donation, submit a form, or otherwise interact with us.
Fiscal Sponsorship & Your Donation
The Voices of Resilience Project is a fiscally sponsored project of Fiscal Sponsorship Allies (EIN: 85-0839183). When you make a donation through this website, your gift is made to Fiscal Sponsorship Allies for the benefit of the Voices of Resilience Project, and is processed according to their donor policies.
By donating, you agree to the Fiscal Sponsorship Allies Donor Terms & Conditions. Your donation receipt will be issued by Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, and any tax-deductibility questions should reference their 501(c)(3) status and the EIN above.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Donation information: name, email, billing address, and payment details when you make a gift. Payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment processor, and donation records are additionally maintained by Fiscal Sponsorship Allies as our fiscal sponsor.
- Veteran interview submissions: name, contact information, branch of service, and any story details you choose to share through our “Share Your Story” form.
- Wellness Network requests: name, contact information, veteran/family status, and the type of whole-health service you’re interested in (chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, or biofeedback).
- General contact: any information you provide when you email us directly or reach out through the site.
We also automatically collect limited technical information (such as browser type, device type, and general location) through standard website analytics tools to help us understand site usage.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process donations, issue donation records in coordination with Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, and send confirmations
- Contact veterans who submit interest in being interviewed, to schedule and coordinate their participation
- Connect Wellness Network participants with a matched provider in our network
- Send updates about the project to those who opt in
- Improve our website and better understand how visitors use it
- Comply with legal and tax-reporting obligations related to charitable donations
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Fiscal sponsor: Donation-related information is shared with Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, our fiscal sponsor, as necessary to process your gift, issue your donation receipt, and maintain required charitable giving records.
- Wellness Network referrals: If you submit a Wellness Network request, your contact information and stated area of interest are shared only with the specific provider(s) you’re matched with, so they can reach out to you directly. We do not share this information with any other third party.
- Payment processing: Donation and payment information is shared with our payment processor solely to complete your transaction, in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
- Service providers: We may share limited information with vendors who help us operate the site (such as hosting or email delivery services), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Irene Cares, Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, our users, or the public.
Public Recognition and Credits
If you choose to make a donation at a level that includes public credit recognition (pre-roll or post-roll credits), we will use the name you provide at checkout for that purpose. You may request to be listed anonymously instead.
Your Choices
- You may opt out of future email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- You may request removal from the Wellness Network referral list at any time by emailing us.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below, subject to any legal or recordkeeping requirements we must follow (including donation records maintained by Fiscal Sponsorship Allies for tax purposes).
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure payment processing and restricted access to submitted forms. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including ongoing recordkeeping for donations and legal compliance, unless you request earlier deletion where applicable.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
