Agreement to Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Voices of Resilience Project: Veterans website (the “Site”), an initiative of Irene Cares. By accessing or using this Site, making a donation, or submitting any form on this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.
About This Project & Fiscal Sponsorship
The Voices of Resilience Project: Veterans (“the Project”) is a fiscally sponsored project of Fiscal Sponsorship Allies (EIN: 85-0839183). This means:
- Donations made through this Site are made to Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, a recognized 501(c)(3) organization, for the charitable benefit of the Project.
- Fiscal Sponsorship Allies holds legal and fiduciary responsibility for donated funds and their charitable use, consistent with its role as fiscal sponsor.
- By donating, you agree to the Fiscal Sponsorship Allies Donor Terms & Conditions, which govern the donation itself, receipting, and tax-deductibility. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, those donor terms.
- Any questions regarding your donation receipt, tax-deductible status, or the handling of donated funds should reference Fiscal Sponsorship Allies directly using the EIN above.
Donations
- All donations are voluntary and, once processed, are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at the sole discretion of Fiscal Sponsorship Allies.
- Donation tiers, credit placements (pre-roll/post-roll recognition), and associated benefits described on this Site are offered at the discretion of the Project and may be modified, discontinued, or adjusted at any time, including for donations already made, without obligation beyond good-faith efforts to honor stated commitments.
- Recurring (monthly) donations will continue to be charged on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by contacting us at info@vorproject.com.
- We reserve the right to decline or return any donation at our discretion.
Public Credit & Recognition
- Donors at qualifying tiers may be publicly credited in pre-roll or post-roll recognition within project video content, using the name provided at the time of donation.
- You may request to be listed anonymously in place of your name.
- Credit placements are a form of recognition, not a contractual guarantee of specific placement duration, prominence, or format, and may vary based on production needs.
- We reserve the right to decline to credit a donation that appears fraudulent, disputed, or otherwise improperly submitted.
Veteran Interview Submissions
- Submitting the “Share Your Story” form expresses interest only and does not guarantee selection for an interview.
- If selected and interviewed, separate consent and release documentation will be required before any footage, story, or likeness is used, published, or archived publicly.
- Participation in an interview is voluntary at every stage, and a veteran may withdraw consent prior to public release of their story, subject to the terms of their signed release.
Resilience Wellness Network
- The Wellness Network connects veterans and family members with independent third-party wellness providers (chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, and biofeedback).
- These providers are independent practitioners, not employees or agents of Irene Cares or the Project. We do not guarantee the quality, licensure, availability, or outcome of any care received through a referral.
- Submitting a Wellness Network form authorizes us to share your information only with the provider(s) you are matched with, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Any care received is solely between you and the provider; the Project is not responsible for any outcome, dispute, or billing matter arising from that relationship.
Intellectual Property
- All content on this Site — including text, graphics, video, and design — is owned by or licensed to Irene Cares and the Project, unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
- Veteran interview footage remains subject to the specific release agreement signed by each participating veteran and may not be used outside the scope of that agreement.
Disclaimers
- This Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Statistics referenced on this Site regarding veteran suicide, PTSD, substance use, and homelessness are drawn from publicly available sources (including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development) and are provided for informational and awareness purposes; they are updated periodically but may not reflect the most current data at all times.
- This Site is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or crisis intervention services. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988, then press 1, for the Veterans Crisis Line.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Irene Cares, the Project, and Fiscal Sponsorship Allies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site, your donation, your participation as an interview subject, or your use of any referral made through the Wellness Network.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by Fiscal Sponsorship Allies’ governing documents.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
